Love it! Was just talking with Sarah @ContentDesignLN yesterday about cross-over between user-centred online design and human-centred 3D spacial design! User research into needs, designing for tasks, ranking activities, applying best practices, creating better user experiences
That's exactly what my sister does for a living. She applies user centered design to office space. Her product designers are the architects and her devs are the actual builders. The user research questionare she applied to us to understand of needs for the kitchen was amazing!
Oh and she's based in London so if you ever want her to come over and talk about how she does it (it's really eye opening) I guess she'd be up for it... Well I should ask her first before putting her forward

I’d love to if she’s up for that chat! I got my professional diploma in interior design a couple of years ago, and have been thinking of offering a similar service. Did an extension floor plan for a friend recently focused on tasks she wanted to do in the new space.
PS as a contractor in various office spaces alway thought someone could do us all a huge favour by redesigning kitchens for multiple use!! Only known one good example in 16 years...
The best part is she normally does labs, offices, and government buildings. The kitchen she's just showing off
I'll ask her and keep y'all posted. It can always be an interesting talk at a meetup or something
