What’s crazy is most breakthroughs get anosmia from what I can tell. If people are infected 1-3 times per year (“living with covid”), how many people worldwide are going to lose their smell and taste permanently? Seems like a huge number.

I’m on month 8. Doc blew it off when I made appt to address long COVID issues- especially the parosmia. So many things taste & smell like decaying, rotten meat & this other awful scent/taste I haven’t identified yet. I miss my supersonic sniffer & refined palate so much.

Parosmia can be reversed by finding the item you can no longer taste or smell in this case and smelling it for a long period of time. mine was Garlic based items, took some garlic powder, huffed it for 30 mins, next day i was completely fine and back to normal.
