This was measured 2 months ago. Now that it's almost Sept, vaccine effectiveness for those vaccinated in April is likely close to the Feb numbers here.
And in the past few weeks, we've started seeing more breakthroughs from people who got vaccinated in April. #LongCOVID

Bc I appreciate your posts, an invitation: it's painful when health advocates/scientists don't mention that most Palestinians haven't been allowed access to vaccines, defying intnl law. Data from a state practicing medical apartheid doesn't mean much without this context.

I 100% agree.

it's not controlling for delta percentage, though, or is it?

An in-depth analysis of this data was just published. Bottom line is that vaccine effectiveness for severe COVID shows almost no waning at all; the VE for symptomatic infection quoted in the slide you tweeted is probably not reliable.

If a symptomatic efficacy drop wasn’t occurring, then the Israeli data wouldn’t match the UK data for Pfizer Delta vaccine efficacy. Let’s say it’s in the ballpark.

We need clear and accurate reporting of breakthrough cases: Including which vaccine each breakthrough case occurred with. Those of us who are vaccinated would like to know now. Delta is here. Those of us that have been proactive would like to continue to do so with precise data.
