Every Android update slowly kills Google Pixel 2. A few months ago I lost fingertip functionality completely. Now people are losing their cameras: A few more updates and Pixel 2 won't be able to make calls and send messages 🔪

I stumbled upon a technique for generating fluid charts that don't require JavaScript. It seems to work pretty well

genuinely love ls-engines from 😍 if you ever want to know what you should be including in the engines property of your packages or apps, just run `npx ls-engines` to find the exact version range that your *dependencies* require.

“Handoff” is perhaps the worst term in our industry at the moment. It implies that design and development are completely separate and that design can be “done”. Design and development are really a single collaborative process. Our tools need to unify to reflect that!

Oh, look! A <div> that should be a button! What if... We change it into a <button>?🤔 Nothing breaks, the world is a better place💖

Alignment is a critical part of working in complex, fast-moving teams. But too much of the wrong kind of alignment can be a bad thing. New essay:

The thing that I love the most about frontend is the immediate feedback loop. Waiting a long time to verify if it works is so tiring.

Hey , I understand the aggressive push to sell something that I don't need but could you please at least make that orange sticky note _not_ to cover more important UI elements in the app? Ideally, please allow users to close it.

Designers should be using the same component APIs as developers. Even when creating the design system itself, the primitives should be much higher level than rectangles (e.g. textfields, buttons, etc.). Most of these primitives can be shared across all design systems.

Happy to release today 🎉🎉 An open-source checklist to help you plan, build and grow your design system. This was a fun little project that lots of thought went into so I really hope it is useful for some folks. Let me know what you think 🙌🙌
