    Another great post from ! I've come to similar conclusions with healthchecks - use them for service discovery, but there are better solutions for load-balancing. And I'm finally writing a related post on how we're adding more feedback into Zuul's load-balancer!

    Wrote a post on health checks, the perils of treating it as a binary state, the need for adaptive feedback loops and effective backpressure. Also why HAProxy style agent-checks are a fantastic pattern for getting started with this form of control loops.

    I found Bourdain late in life, after years of watching Ramsey shout at people on TV, and it was like a huge breath of fresh air. It's very hard for people to be honest on TV, but you practically wanted to crawl through the screen to drink with this guy.
