We want to acknowledge the extraordinary contributions of health extension workers in rural Ethiopia. They provide much needed support to families living in remote communities and are at the forefront of helping prevent the spread of diseases like Covid-19.

These are extraordinarily challenging times in Ethiopia. In addition to our livelihoods, education and health projects, Glimmer is providing emergency food assistance for families in the most food-insecure areas, and Covid-19 trainings and supplies at schools and health centers.
Research shows that women are hit the hardest and carry a disproportionate amount of the burden caused by the pandemic, conflict, economic and environmental shocks. Glimmer invests in creating an inclusive world where women have fewer challenges and more opportunities.
