Well it's almost 3 years since this article was published. And I have yet to feel any hockey stick "exponential" progress as forecasted! :-O

Do you think that is true for both applied AI and trajectory of research? I posted this to see reactions on both sides so would love to hear

If gartner is any indicator we are still early in the hype cycle yet. The "growth" won't mature till the research is mostly "boring".
