Queen Victoria having sugar in her tea supported slavery? Except slavery was abolished in the British Empire 4 years before her coronation and it was the British who took tea from China to India.

Which bit is factually incorrect?
-
None, but it unpleasantly associates non-native origin with non-britishness and fails to mention anything that is actually British, like our contributions to democracy, rule of law, anti-racism and abolition of slavery. Applied to another country, it would be taken as a slur.
