Well, Corbyn interview got 3.2m viewers. So not that "tired". The Tories posted it on Facebook. So not "tired" at all. "Tired" never raised when trying to fix time and date. This "source" is a "pyramid of piffle" PS to source: monologue got 4m+ views. So some voter interest.https://twitter.com/alexwickham/status/1202881993618444288 …

Johnson confirms he is rejecting Neil interview Senior Con source: “The public are fed up with interviews that are all about the interviewer and endless interruptions. The format is tired and broken and needs to change if it is to start engaging and informing the public again.”

Empty chair him, he cannot get away with this. Look at the issues regarding the Irish border this morning. Something needs to be done

I would happily sit and watch 30 minutes of Andrew Neil going through all the questions he'd ask Boris Johnson whilst fact checking recent things he's said & Tory manifesto.

Boris wants to make this nation great again apparently. Not sure our history was made great by leaders that run away?

He’s done 117 interviews plus Marr. Just because he hasn’t done Neil hardly constitutes ‘running away’. Maybe it’s Neil’s arrogance that needs to take a rain check.

I just phoned downing Street, 0207 930 4433 as Michael Gove thoughtfully gave out the number on 5 Live. Asked them why BogJob wasn't doing Neil interview. Spoke to a real person too. Perhaps more people should phone and ask? 😈

You might want to do more thorough research. 3.2 million people is less than half the viewing figures for that awful ITV leadership debate. 6.7 million people watched that shambolic debate. I imagine the viewing figures have been falling for this type of thing for some time now

To be fair to Andrew, UK general population are not as thorough as we like to think they are - hence why slogans / one-liners / Farage & the Brexit Party Gaines traction. Society is geared towards instant gratification... a debate allows fluff, Andrew does not.
