A recent study examined the impact of individuals who had 1 or 2 #measles #vaccine doses but still got infected on the subsequent spread of the virus. Result? Much less likely to transmit it to others. #VaccinesWorkhttp://www.cidrap.umn.edu/news-perspective/2019/11/skipping-measles-vaccine-tied-triple-risk-disease-spread …

Interestingly though, when the second MMR's protection wears off due to secondary vaccine failure, a 3rd MMR does not appear to be able to extend the artificial protection, leaving older folks vulnerable.https://academic.oup.com/jid/article/213/7/1115/2912150 …

I wonder who transmitted from sailer to sailer during the months at sea with 100% vaccinated? Or the schools where only vaccinated kids are coming down with the virus?

Assume you're referring to mumps? The ship had only a tiny percentage who developed illness. If vaccines didn't work, all of them would have gotten ill. At schools, again only a small % have been infected. But this study was about measles...

I was going to ask: are there similar studies on other viruses eg influenza? The anti voices re both “shedding” and transmission generally post vaccination are *loud*
