@Slate Shame on you. In addition to the above critical reasons, people who live through measles are far more susceptible to deadly infections for the next 2-3 years and can have severe lifelong consequences. The well-deserved fear of measles is based on history and experience. -
Well, I think the 20 in 10000 lethality rate is kinda the main reason to fear

In wv we have some of the lowest imm. rates PRIOR to school. If legislation changes & allows for exemptions you can bet there will be more than just a “pocket” of low rates. Since prevention is key the importance and concern can not be overstated, otherwise it will be a crisis.
