Finally got round to reading this @JimBaggott - very nice! I could imagine how Lakatos might apply to Darwinism too. But are there good examples elsewhere in science - chemistry, say?

I’m not aware of any applications to chemistry (or biology) but I’d be surprised if there aren’t some studies to be found in the literature. Lakatos was criticised for being too focused on foundational physics, with some justification.
