Where does intentionality fit into the phenomenal/access dichotomy? There are more sophisticated forms of substance dualism than Descartes, but all stand or fall along with God (of whom there are also more sophisticated conceptions). You are 100% sure here?

Intentionality emerges from the biological processes. No matter how sophisticated, dualism is out because it doesn't fit the scientific image. No, nobody is 100% sure. But I'm pretty confident.

Consciousness isn’t an illusion, in fact it’s the only the thing that has to be real. It’s the self that’s an illusion.

This is an excellent explanation of the illusionist approach to consciousness, both clear and precise.

But consciousness of what all? An android also is conscious of its surroundings. It's different layers?

Well good old Descartes already taught us many years ago, that for an illusion to work, there needs to be someone (some consciousness) to be fooled by that illusion.
