There are many problems that are unsolved by empirical observation even in others accepted theories (such as expansive big bang). Sorry but we can't criticize one theory as lacking empirical validation while ignoring the same deficiency in other theories.

There was no empirical evidence for gravitational waves. That came after the theory, as did empirical evidence for much of Einstein’s theories. The basic point is that they were logically derived and based on reason. Nothing dangerous about that.

This is a pretty gross mischaracterization of Everette's interpretation of quantum mechanics. It does not premise multiple universes---it premises that macroscopic 'observers' are also quantum systems and the prediction of multiple universes, among other predictions, follows.
