Glad to see such fundamental questions be discussed here. However, the author did not, in my opinion, provide an adequate case that "Western metaphysics" tend to rely on substances and ignore processes; not referencing any philosophers as examples.

Processes are indeed important to analyze, but I find it useless to make a fuzz which is the true "fundamental element" of reality, and think that they rather ought to be analyzed in unison. All processes include certain substances, and all substances are subjected to processes.
