This appalling article made my head hurt. When you use phrases like ‘so-called herd immunity’, you imply that it’s up for debate (it isn’t). Stop being part of the problem.

That’s a poor word choice in the title, because ‘rational’ is ambiguous. Calling their choice rational can imply that it is the correct choice. They may very well have reasons, so it may be subjectively rational, but the author isn’t saying it is objectively the rational choice.
