Uh, left-brain versus right-brain thinking is a fallacy. Science, still materialist in philosophy, still believes - and asserts to us - that we think with the brain. We don't. Every physical organ has a function in the body; the brain is the electrochemical driver of the muscles.

Immaterial mind thinks; the physical brain does not. An outgrowth of the skin's perceptual organ system (sight, smell, hearing, taste, touch) the brain organ functions as the body's electrochemical driver and wiring, with crossover operation. Input: perception, output: movement.

Great to hear Iain McGilchrist's work on this subject but I recommend
@GaryLachman work as well and how an undivided mind may lead us to become "caretakers of the cosmos" -
Very familiar with Iain's work and write about it in Caretakers of the Cosmos. Here's my review of his book:https://lareviewofbooks.org/article/oppositional-thinking/ …
