Hey, so apparently Discord decided to quietly update their TOS with a clause that says you must forfeit your right to sue them or take part in a class-action lawsuit. There's a way to "opt out" if you do so within the next 30 days by emailing arbitration-opt-out@discord.compic.twitter.com/vcBYWFeKud

Also, people keep asking if this is a scam to harvest more user data from that arbitration-opt-out email. They can't harvest any data that you don't give them, so just email them with the email you're already signed up for discord with saying you opt out. That's all u need to do

Discord's official answer is absolutely baffling. They're basically saying that they're removing your and everyone's right to sue because many companies have used frivolous lawsuits to get what they wanted. This is dumb on so many levels.pic.twitter.com/yEoXfC8eCY

Agreed - Recently timing and the law has become a big thing. There are no coincidences when it comes to these things. With so many huge data breaches it makes awful sense for Discord to protect their ass, consumer be damned.
