Another win for developers and the 1%. This city is a real life comedy . Only in Toronto would we snub our noses at $40M+ in revenue (which could be used for affordable housing) because it might bother some of our wealthiest citizens

Well this is interesting. This insurance company seems so proud of their partnership with the gun-pushing CCFR that they don't mention it anywhere on their site, not do they even mention a word about guns, shooting or firearms

My girlfriend just sent me this photo of a guy driving down the sidewalk on Yonge. She had to get out of his way.

If you think going against the majority of Canadians (including your own conservative base) to pander to a small group on the far right is the way to win, you're obviously not the politician many thought you were. But if keeping the Liberals in power is your goal, then well done

Police chief would be well served by not arguing against proposed measures, but by supporting them and pushing for more. His work of late jeopardizes the Liberal efforts and threatens progress. Unless that is his goal?

There's a better way to do this . Gaming the eval to take a non-compliant bid just to get the "lowest price" is very ill-conceived. It's not best value and you pay far more in long run. Hasn't Ottawa learned this yet?

And here they suggest that increasing gun control could result in a civil war. Which also is a normal law-abiding thing to say

Here is another gun owner stating publicly that the only way you will get their firearms is from their "cold dead hands" . Can't tell you how to do your job but this language suggests pretty strongly that they shouldn't have any guns

A reminder to the that these are gun owners (presumably licensed) stating publicly that they will not abide by the laws governing firearm ownership.

As Canada finds itself mired in another US made middle east crisis, comes news we exported $250million worth of military weapons to Saudia Arabia, in November 2019. Y'all can't play this game anymore. Get out of the ME now.

If you're serious about saving money , then you'd merge the Catholic and public boards. 71% of Ontarians supported the idea. The far more Catholic province of Quebec merged. Even a columnist stood behind this idea.

I should add he bought those 47 handguns in six months. CCFR supporters have argued with me that there was nothing wrong with someone buying that volume of restricted weapons in that short period of time. They oppose any and all restrictions on how they can buy or own weapons.

Here is better reporting . The article contains examples of Canadian straw purchases, ie a security guard legally purchasing 47 handguns and then funnelling them into criminal hands. A handgun ban and making this harder would make Canada safer
