Bake sales to pay for printing newspapers. College administrators, step up. Your basketball team isn’t selling donuts. You have enough money for the things you value most. News isn’t a luxury item. Pay for it.

50yrs ago tonight, as I was exiting our Catholic church, someone from the parking lot shouted: “They've killed King! Martin Luther King is dead!" A cheer arose from some of the all-white crowd exiting the church. It burns in my memory to this day. Thank you Dr King. We carry on

🌮🍋This is a great lesson in the economics of the cheap taco. In a food so price sensitive, even the iconic lime is expendable Wonderful

I’m really tired of the Sun-Sentinel publishing these stories using only tweets and no actual interviews. This isn’t real journalism. It’s sensationalism.

50 years ago today, I learned the painful news that my friend, my mentor, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. had been assassinated in Memphis, TN. He was my brother, my leader--that day it felt like something died in all of us.

Not sure why has special reservations center for groups of 15 or more reservations. I called & was basically told to book individual vans online for my group of 23. I'd have to book 4 vans & use different names so online system won't reject my reservations. 🙄

Martin Luther King Jr walked out to the balcony of Lorraine Motel in Memphis and spotted jazz saxophonist Ben Branch. "I want you to play 'Precious Lord' for me tonight," he told Branch. "Play it real pretty." Then, a shot rang out.

We must continue to educate future generations about the past so we can build the future. Let's honor Dr King's legacy by continuing to fight injustice, hatred and inequality.
