Didn’t think Aquaman was great(struggle to even call it good) but from one aspiring horror movie director to one of the genre’s biggest success stories, I salute you, Wan, you glorious Aussie!

Yeah: he shows he's a class act!

Rian Johnson is a tool
-
Yes. Yes he is.
-
It's beyond me how anyone thinks he is a useful human.

Too bad there are not more people in hollywood like James Wan, Colin Trevorrow is the only other director that I can think of that thinks like that too. Classy guy I think I might go see aquaman this weekend.

Totally agree, the way they have both interacted with fans (particularly those that didn’t like their movies) is first class. Rian Johnson could learn a thing or two.

Be like James, y'all. Loved his movie, but I love that he's a stand up guy, even more.

Aquaman was great, sure it lacks depth and great dialogue but it's a ton of fun and a hell of a spectacle so yeah I appreciate the movie and more so his good attitude toward his customers, something severely lacking in a lot of industries nowadays.
-
So you are saying it is a good popcorn flick? Nothing wrong with that.
-
Exactly, and a very good one at that.
-
I might actually go see it now.

I loved Aquaman. If other people don't, so be it. different tastes are an unavoidable reality of life. You can't please everyone.
-
I havent seen it but I love that they actually gave him the scale mail for this flick so that is a huge positive already.

That is a striking difference and it makes me like James Wan so much more but I can't say so much for that immature pecker wood Rian Johnson. He wishes he was a fraction of the director that James Wan is.

we can all agree you can love a film or dislike it... but TLJ is something different. it doesnt have the luxury of becoming a "fun popcorn flick" or "just ok" without being a clear and dramatic drop in quality. SW WAS EPIC.
-
and TLJ, fell into many traps and has many flaws but it also created all new sins for a unique saga and writing in general. something new is great, but not when u have to derail an entire series to make YOUR installment a spectacle.
