    Location is not only about a point on a map. It is about a line. It is about movement. Just like text, sound, image are different kinds of data, Lat-Long is a different kind of data & adds immense depth, meaning & insights to statistical data in a space-time context.

    Heatmaps are a color-coded visual representation. They don't have quantified areas & thus make it hard to run localized strategies, track performance in real-time to iterate & experiment. A better way is to use a system of grids, geohashes or hexbins.
