I'm from Boston and have run it 8 times. Anyone who ever ran these hills feels like they survived. Runners get this, easily offended don't.

unless you know ppl who died & "surviving the marathon" has changed its meaning... you're wrong too.
-
I know people affected by it. I've done work with survivors and first responders. This is a running term, it's a reach to think otherwise.
-
How many seconds does it take to come up w/ a tactful phrase tho? "Strength & perseverance wins all victories." This took 5 sec & is better
-
It's a statement of celebration for one of the best Marathons in the world. 2013 was horrible, but we're not fragile, we're BostonStrong!
-
Great. Not everyone is you. Try to remember that before judging the way people react. Tact goes a long way in advertising.
-
Your name says it all.
-
I hope that wasn't meant to be an insult, because the egg is right.

I was not offended. I received it. We all "survive" our races. That's the terms we use in running. Sheesh.
-
Sad that not everyone understands that term.
At least we do, so that is a great start -
it has nothing to do with 'not understanding running'. there were people that day that did not survive it. that's the only 'sad' thing here.
-
I believed they were speaking of the race yesterday. It's how I and many others took it. We all remember 2013.
-
im sure they were. but this isnt an issue of people 'not understanding running terms'. this is justifiable anger.
-
Easy mistake to make. They apologized (over-apologized). If anyone is still angry about it, that's on them.
-
it's not that easy. and the apology is appreciated but that doesnt/shouldnt negate the original outrage. it's ok to be mad about this.
-
It's okay to recognize that it was insensitive. They apologized. It's over. Move on.

@adidasrunning You can’t satisfy everyone because some people will always find fault with something. -
Clearly you're not from Boston. The ad (strongly) hit the wrong note for many of us - and I for one appreciate the Adidas apology.
-
I guess you forgot the Adidas tee-shirt that everyone in Boston (including me) bought at the time.pic.twitter.com/sQTPtl4o3u
