    One of the (many) inspiring things about being part of is seeing colleagues across the org, all simultaneously working at different levels to bring about change for young people... public opinion, policy, systems, service design & direct delivery of support 👍

    Absurdly nerdy evening with 3 of my fav people. When "shall we meet for chilli & a few beers?" = hours of laughter & chat about values, change, design, complexity & purpose. Couldn't think of anyone better to have an existential crisis with 🙂

    Finally got to the bottom of why my son has been feeling sad the last few weeks. His closest friends at nursery happen to be a bit older than him and they've all been moved up to the next level... "I'm feeling a bit lonely daddy. All my friends are gone" 💔

    In this morning emphasising the importance of safeguarding and enforcement going hand in hand to tackle . Addressing school exclusions, funding early intervention and long-term case work with trusted adults vital if we are to tackle the awful crime

    A Rubik's cube has 43,252,003,274,489,856,000 different combinations. Every single of the ~43 quintillion combinations can be solved in 20 moves or less. Perfect example of a complicated, but not complex, problem. With enough time and training, solutions are obvious.

    "The assumption that profit-driven markets will lead to sensible patterns of provision is no longer a view that can be rationally supported". Does 'profit driven' imply that non-profits which compete for (business-critical) contracts aren't subject to the same dysfunctions?
