There’s an argument (and a good one!) that a huge part of the appeal of 40K when you’re first getting into it as a kid is that it feels pretty weighty, dense, and arguably mature. I got that feeling when I was scratching the surface with Space Crusade, for sure. I *loved* it.

But that’s just one way into it. People can and will still get into it with the same vibe I/we did. Others will get into it with Warhammer Adventures, for ages 8+. It’s just a new avenue into the thing we all love – one that ultimately doesn’t affect those of us already into it.

For [insert deity of choice]'s sake, gang, this is adorable and awesome and doesn't affect any of us grognards -- beyond giving us more people to talk to, and more people to play with, in a few years. Don't clutch pearls and keep gates. We're not holders of the eternal flame.

I was honestly surprised, at first, given how dark the 40k universe is. A few moments later, though, I've found myself appreciating just how vast the universe is given that there's room to tell this kind of story without detracting from the more mature "grimdark" we know
