Curious - as I checked sometime back: any rhyme or reason the height is capped @ 16384px??https://twitter.com/HenriHelvetica/status/1178090477347848193 …

After digging, DevTools screenshots are capped at 16384px as this is the maximum texture size used by the compositor. It's a limitation of the GL backend (GPU), can't be changed. One could run Chrome and --disable-gpu to force software rendering. ymmv.

Can we do this via puppeteer?
-
Yep (https://pptr.dev/#?product=Puppeteer&version=v2.0.0&show=api-pagescreenshotoptions …). You'll want page.screenshot() with fullPage set to true.

Or take Firefox, where this feature isn't hidden that bad :-) Actually it's one the right corner of the url-field
-
There are a few ways to get to this feature (e.g without use of the command menu https://twitter.com/m_casati/status/1223171319258324992?s=19 …). Would you find that one more discoverable?

"Capture full size screenshot" is also directly available in the device toolbar menu
