I don’t talk about that to my friends or family, and I don’t want people to pity me for suffering through depression or severe anxiety. Far better people suffer through more.

Far better people suffer through more with less, and you would never guess those thoughts creep through their mind, or that they’ve planned it out. You can’t know without having that conversation.

I was fortunate to have a support system that checked on me constantly, much to my annoyance. Not everyone does. Show kindness, even when you don’t want to.

Anyway, idk if this helps anyone or surprises anyone even... but it just feels like the more people who open up about it, the better chance we have at being comfortable addressing the problem. Love everyone. Yes, even you, person who hates me.

Glad ur hear bud. I too have battled depression but ultimately my fear of damnation, reliance on Jesus, and the thought of leaving my kids always pulled me out of the darkness.
