    🚀 Finally put together a landing page for Tailwind UI! If you're interested in getting updates on this massive component directory I'm working on with , you can subscribe here 👉

    Turns out there is a difference when using `flex-direction`. `start` doesn't respect it, `flex-start` does, and only in Firefox. Welp.

    Anyone out there know if there are subtle differences between `align-items: flex-start` and `align-items: start`? Trying to figure out if it's safe to do this in a future Tailwind release: .items-start { align-items: flex-start; align-items: start; }

    Gonna go with 3deg, 6deg, and 12deg, don't have time to dick around with this more than that 😅

    So Tailwind 1.2 has support for `skew` transforms, but we don't have any default values for it included at the moment. It's pretty confusing to document something with no defaults — anyone have strong opinions on reasonable default skew values to provide?

    Finally completed reading Refactoring UI by and . The amount of information this 200-page book contains is far more than 100s of blogs I have read about design.

    Unless you follow up your “it depends” or “it’s all about trade-offs” with an actual disposition of WHAT it depends on or HOW to weigh those trade-offs, you’re saying less than nothing. It’s an intellectual pause button.

    ☝️🏻 Here's a quick-and-dirty complete example of what I mean:

    Added bonus: Separating those entirely makes it easy to swap a popover for an off-canvas slide-in sheet just by deleting the popover and adding the sheet instead. Don’t need to touch the actual navbar at all.

    A concrete example is a responsive navbar. Don’t reuse the same markup for the links in the navbar and the links in the responsive popover/dropdown version. It’s not worth it.

    Maintaining two very simple blocks of markup with duplicated content in different shapes is 100x easier than trying to make one tree of HTML do magic tricks with hyper complex responsive styling.

    Something that’s really been solidified for me working on Tailwind UI... When building responsive UIs, your threshold for just duplicating the content with completely new markup and simply toggling between the two implementations should be very low.

    PS. If anyone feels like contributing to the docs for any of the new features at all, it would be a big help 🙏🏻 just stubbing out the pages with the class table at the top would be an amazing start.

    Haven't heard too much feedback on the Tailwind v1.2 beta releases — who's using it and how's it going for you? Want to tag v1.2 proper soon but would love to know it's been working well so far and that I haven't made any mistakes with the APIs 🤞

    🔥 When things get closer they cover more of what’s behind them, which means they shouldn’t be perfectly aligned with things in the background. We can emulate this in UI design by slightly offsetting elevated elements so they extend beyond the edges of the elements they conceal.

    Finally upgraded from my iPhone 7 to an iPhone 11 Pro — what's the best wireless charging mat on the market these days? Something for my desk that I could put both my phone and AirPods on during the day 🤔

    A question for you experts. Say I have a wrapper component for a text input. Is there an easy way to proxy method calls to that component to the native input? Doing the following gets a little old...
