I hope this helps out anyone in #taxtwitter with NC clients. The NC budget passed this Thursday just dropped a 2020 retroactive tax law change related to PPP expense deductibility.

he is saying that the covid bill includes all sorts of non-covid related policies. but many of the policies he's reading off are in the omnibus.

What's your favorite virtual phone system? We are considering replacing what we use. What we have is ok but doesn't work great in the remote work- looking for something with a cell phone app for calls in / out and SMS. Don't know if it exists or not.

Here is my unsolicited tax advice today - don't stop withholding or remitting payroll taxes. Even if courts don't tear this to shreds you are going to be in a world of hurt when you have to catch up.
