For an adult, chronologically. I've been introducing my son - who is nine - to the later episodes as they come out (and we can afford them). But we skipped Rogue One because he was only seven at the time and not ready to see everyone die.

Production, I was on the machete camp before but as time goes on, the original trilogy needs more and more of an explanation of it's place in time, and it naturally shows it age.

I mean for kids I always think ''A new hope'' first, but for adults or teens I think TFA is a good avenue in, just from a modern production point of view...then go back and start in order of realise.

What was the goal of the machete order again?

You essentially preserve the big revelation in ‘EMPIRE’ and then see how it all unfolds, prior to seeing Vader’s redemption in ‘JEDI’.

At this point. Probably chronologically in production. Or wait for an organic place for them. Like if an “episode 10” comes out and I have a 6 year old. Then go back by production.

I think it depends on whether or not they know the "No, I am your father" reveal. If not then machete order is best imo and if they do then probably chronological order.
