I will be returning to "The Big Picture" with @HollandCooke on @RT_com this Friday to discuss the biological basis for sex-segregation in sports and the issues of fairness surrounding the inclusion of trans-identifying males into female sporting events.
-
-
According to whom, may I ask?
-
Society.
-
No more questions, Your Honor. I rest my case.
-
I suspected this was a parody account but after checking, it appears it is not.
-
I thought so too. He’s quite funny on other topics.
-
Really?!? Thank you. Wrong pronouns notwithstanding.
-
Well, you can’t police all of the people all of the time.
-
I mean, they are in my profile. Twice.

Biological male/female have not fallen out. It simply describes gamete size. Sex is not assigned at birth.
-
Kind of. But not really at all.
-
You might not like it but that is the biological definition of sex. If you want to play a different language game and talk about cultural stereotypes and expectations fine, but the term biological male/female refers to that.
-
Not exactly.
-
Yes exactly. You’re way out of your depth here, Adam.
-
I’m sure.
-
Assuming you’re not just trolling us all, of course. Either way you seem rather keen for attention. Just answer me this before I leave you: should someone who was born with a cock and balls be allowed to compete in women’s boxing?

Sex is recorded at birth. It is not assigned. You know this and so does everyone you try to put it past. Biology has not and never will fall out of favour with those who know and value reality. Those who don't can assign themselves any label they like, but their sex will remain.
-
Nah. If that was the case or prevailing by any degree we wouldn’t be able to correct birth certificates. Which every state but like two (arguably the most bigoted ones at that) allow.
-
Sex is recorded at birth. It's a material fact. The survival of our species relies on it. No society without sexual reproduction.

-
The survival of the species relies on what is writtten on a piece of paper moments after birth? Doubt.
-
Isn't it funny we seem to know who to try and reproduce with with startling accuracy.
-
Why is that relevant to what we are discussing?
-
Because you saying sex is assigned as if it's totally arbitrary, on a whim of a midwife. It refers to a sex role. We're a sexually dimorphic species, it's pretty important. There are many differences between the sexes.
-
I’m not saying it’s totally arbitrary. I’m saying it is incomplete and not useful enough to warrant the problems that arise.
