Hmm, the Itch link takes me to the game page there, but clicking the Buy button takes me to a page which says I’ll get a Steam key of the game.

Hey Gibs! I think you need to go to: https://itch.io/my-collections Then click "Download" on A Short Hike. There should be a button that says "Get Steam Key"

i haven't played it yet myself, but my nine-year-old has just finished it and she says it is “the most adorable game of all time” and “i love this game, it’s my favorite game, and i’ll play it thousands of times”. can't wait to play it for myself!
