Lots of US states reacted to Barack Obama and Black Lives Matter in a revolting way, but Missouri's reaction has arguably been the worst.

It's not just racism in Missouri either. Given its location in the heart of the Bible Belt, the LGBTQ backlash has been super ugly as well.

Hopefully, Missouri does a U-turn from this intolerant path. Lots of family/friends there. Used to be a moderate, purple state. Not anymore.

There are still many nice, honorable, tolerant folks in Missouri. I know plenty. People like that just aren't in charge right now obviously.

Ooh ooh do Texas next.

Where to even start? Love many things about Texas, but we've had bozos running this state since around when Ann Richards, Lloyd Benson left.

It makes me sad. There's not even lip service to "compassionate conservative" stuff.

Know Missouri well..family cattle ranch there 4,000 acres in Linn every visit I wonder how they have stayed for generations..I ESCAPED!!!

Many people there have a Midwest down-to-earth quality. It's an interesting state with distinctly different cities. Shame it went this way.

Good people really, they just haven't gotten far from the land or slavery mentality..never could figure it out but I'm a Artist, HA!!

I'm from Missouri and the GOP is driving it into the ground. This is so embarrassing. Hopefully people know not all Missourians are racist!

Racists and bigots feel much freer to to act on their violent instincts since they feel they have a friend in the White House...so sad...
