We launched the game with 6 people on Dec 16, 2016. I remember, flying in to Seattle the night before, feeling like if we sold 20k units over the weekend I'd be happy. I woke up 7 hours after launching to 21k units sold. We couldn't believe it.

I was so excited I hugged Paul (in nothing but pajama pants and no shirt!) and then proceeded to do Steven Seagal axe-kicks all over his apartment I was so happy.

We grew the company to 7, 8... A few months after launch, 2 of the original members of the team left System Era. One went to pursue new passions in life and Paul, my best friend and whom started System Era with me originally, died tragically.pic.twitter.com/d42ScuYSQ8

At one time we, as a team, were handling: a growing company, the loss of a friend and founding member, new team mates joining the team, new family members (Brendan had a baby right at launch!), moving offices, and, at that time, about 200k people playing our live, buggy pre-alpha

A year later, and, we are now at about 17 people. And we're still growing! So much so we're moving to a new office with 2.5x the space. It's probably expected of me to say this, but I fucking mean it: Our team is incredible and I am thankful for every day I get to work with them.
