I don't think you've considered the implications of what you are arguing in terms of ripping authority out of the hands of a patient's relatives. It's immense.
Do you understand how many cases there are of - for example- an elderly patient with Alzheimer's who has a feeding tube which should never have been put in place? From what I can understand you are a proponent of forcing their caregivers to remove it in all cases
