I just mean that if you genuinely believe in the value of organic community it’s obvious that socialism is hugely disruptive to it at the same time as lefties make community based arguments against capitalism all the time

Ironically old school communism was less disruptive to the culture of the ancien regime in some ways than neoliberalism, I assume because the latter is just so much more economically and technologically powerful

well, to me the two most community disrupting forces have been female labor force participation and the collapse of organized religion. I'm very open to the idea that these were consequences of technological advancement/capitalism but since socialism actually supports them
