I think the next big moral crisis for the right will be the collapse of blue collar work and the inability to use the ability and willingness to engage in meaningful work as a proxy for virtue.
Yeah I'm somewhat skeptical myself. But I think we've entered a long period where the anticipation of the collapse drives political trends

I think you hit the nail on the head about anticipation. AI has done one thing well, and that’s to promise it’s going to shake up the world. The timeframe is much further out than people expect, but the anticipation has gone to the core of what we expect about our future.
