Being a mother is pretty much my pride and joy, especially the first year of the child's life, I consider it exclusively my domain and I don't really need help changing diapers

Also, perhaps this is silly but mixing up parental roles makes each parent less effective in their traditional role

I feel bad saying it but I find it difficult to respect fathers who have their babies strapped to the chests or fathers who are changing diapers while the mother is present. I always contrast such swpl parenting when we go to the park on holidays /

with the trad Latino families where the dad is playing soccer with the kids while the mom does the traditional mom thing and I can't help judging the swpl families with their 1.5 kids.
