I genuinely don't get why anyone thinks that German Turks should subordinate their Turkish identity to their German one. What's the reasoning behind it? Is Germany's culture of death supposed to be more appealing or morally righteous, somehow?

Whenever I go to Germany I'm always struck by the contrast between the culture of German Turks and native Germans, especially in small declining towns. Native Germans are old, mostly childless, weirdly obsessed with recycling. Turks are like...normal people with normal families.
