I actually read this as an acknowledgement that the idealogy that some people call "cuckservatism" has no appeal to people who aren't elite whites, and thus we need a Right that is let us say, alternative.

I don't think you even need a common religion or culture. What about the very diverse Ford Nation in multicultural Canada, which is popular among non-whites? A Rob Ford-style coalition would win a supermajority in the relatively downscale America.

I mean you could be right but I don't think stuff like "war on the car" scales very much beyond local politics
-
I actually think urban-suburban-rural tensions will rise as urban areas gentrify with rich white liberals who reap almost all economic gains under global capitalism. "FUCK SAN FRANCISCO" actually seems like a winning platform for 2040 California Republicans.
-
And nationwide, it easily coalesces into a general anti-elite animus towards whatever local urban area reaps most economic growth. So car culture actually seems like a major political flashpoint for the future.

I already have none of those things. Duterte actually delivered most of those things in Davao (juries out on Bolsonaro since he's not in charge). I don't think it's either/or. "My side" has to win in order to have those things.
-
That being said, Duterte and Bolsonaro are on different sides. Duterte is a secular, pro-LGBT, center-left socialist. Bolsonaro is a hard-right homophobic reactionary quasi-libertarian conservative. I don't think "my side" needs to win. I just think (neo)liberalism has to lose.
