I think he's actually wrong. It's a very complex issue that the Obama administration grappled with for a long time. People aren't stupid, they get that this country doesn't have unlimited capacity just because you happen to bring your kid along
I remember reading a Judd Legum tweet from a few days ago where he stated that the issue of separating child asylum seekers from their parents was morally unambiguous in that it was universally repulsive and indefensible and therefore a big rhetorical win for Democrats

It's also annoying how the way they've framed this issue actually prevents any sort of rational discussion around it. They're just screaming about concentration camps. It's hard to believe they think that talking about immigration this way is a political winner for them
