Things Dems in DC are afraid to do, and how voters feel about those things: -$15/hr (59% 💰) -Universal healthcare (63% ⚕️) -Legalize cannabis (68% 🥬) -Universal background checks (92% 🔫) Someday maybe we'll learn voters reward action, not genuflecting to arbitrary rules

A key point. And with vaccines the gov will work to fix glitches as fast as possible, whereas for Medicaid, SNAP, etc, it often takes a lawsuit and months or years to get people what they need. The outrage over vaccine websites is warranted, but it can reveal privilege too.

There’s so much suffering in life that would be unavoidable even in the best circumstances. But there’s also so much unnecessary suffering — every suffocating medical bill, every death from uninsurance or high deductibles — that is utterly meaningless and totally unnecessary.
