Trump defends his “very fine people” comments on Charlottesville: “People were there protesting the taking down of the monument of Robert E. Lee. Everybody knows that.” Fact check: There were many neo-Nazis and white supremacists.

Yeah, but not all were neo nazi's and white supremacists. The ones he condemned two full days before were. The one who were there to preserve history wasn't. They were good people, not racists. Period Which is the exact same statement made by the police

I support freedom of speech. Despite that, I’m not going to show up to a KKK organized “freedom of speech” rally. By doing that, you’re legitimizing them & to an extent, co-signing their beliefs, whether you like it or not.

How do you know they showed up for the rally rather than just to protest against the taking down of a statue. It doesn’t bring any legitimacy to their beliefs other than the one they were protesting for.

If I see people protesting next to me with KKK attire & swastikas; I’m going to leave & probably reflect on what exactly I was protesting for. That protest became more than just about a removal of a statue. It was about white supremacy.

In your eyes it did. Some people are looking at it as history. If you don’t remember and learn from the past, you’ll relive it. I love how everything always stems from white supremacy....ridiculous.

You're blinded because it's your base. you voted for trump knowing his beliefs and what he stands for you're just as bad. Those ppl could have protested without the WS and NN stuff, freedom of speech wouldnt have been tainted. They had an agenda dressed as concern for a statue.

It’s called libel, when you knowingly post lies about someone to damage them. What you’re saying has been long since debunked and you know it. And you have the nerve to get upset when people rightfully call you “fake news...”

Because not everyone there that day was a neo-nazi. There were tons of everyday people that just didn’t want to see a historic statue torn down. Aren’t you the side that’s always preaching about not lumping a group of people as bad because of a few? Yea well, practice it!

67% of whites 65% of Latino 44% of blacks Wanted the statue to remain. The protest was supposed to be those groups peacefully gathering. They did not know that the white supremacist group was flying in! They left after they saw what was happening. When dark came, they marched.
