M31 from LA. Stacked 40 x 3 min photos at 400mm with a Sigma 150-600 lens on a Nikon. There is a low neighborhood light glow to the right I couldn’t quite remove.

This is how you entrench inequality: We let the poor “invest” in lottery tickets, sports gambling and casinos but not startups. The first three are perennial losers. Startups have returned 15% over the past 50 years.

Has anyone pointed out this whole issue with aliens and a Harvard Prof is private money in science from Milner who is keen on making contact or proving existence of aliens. Money + perks like private jets to Europe for media events can easily cloud one’s judgement. That’s all.
