If CT is going to keep making progress, we must lean in to divesting from policing and incarceration and reinvesting that money into reentry support, education, healthcare, jobs, non-policing crisis mediation and violence prevention, infrastructure, addiction treatment, housing.

Real progress requires equity. Because of systemic racism, towns & CT currently spend millions harming Black & Latinx people through policing & incarceration instead of investing in Black & Latinx lives. CT must prioritize Black & Latinx people in decarceration & investment.
