The Port of Dover published this video about potential delays of any kind of Brexit in Sept 2017.
Have @DExEUgov Stephen Barclay and Chris Grayling even watched it before they start any trials?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q9p2NZwOpJA …

It will be publicised by the ‘friendly’ press and media as a great success, nothing to fear etc. The sad fact is a large amount of the public will swallow it without question Mass disinformation and mendacity by the Government, just another day in brexit Britain

I’m practising my plan of action for if I’m attacked by a shark tomorrow. I’m going to put my had into my goldfish bowl for 10 seconds.

It's a no-win. If it goes smoothly everyone will point out the numbers, if there's a problem it'll make them look even more incompetent. It's clearly to spook ERG Brexiters.

Sounds like a propaganda exercise than a realistic test.

Its very much like those Peoples Vote polls of 100 people outside Millbank Tower that claim that the country is 80% remain. Or those claims of 700,000 bed wetters marching for federalism.

If they all drove in a circle 800 times or so, that would be exactly the same as 12,000 lorries. Simples!

Last time disruption at Calais led U.K. Government to conclude Manston Airport was not a viable solution due to poor accessibility. Is only desperation that using again now! But real question is what happens when EU lorry drivers stop coming due to the delays?!

Let me see, 12,000 x 1 hour = ..... ? If you allow 20 m to park each one, then that’s 240,000m, or 240km of backed up lorries a day, less however many get clearance. Hope they don’t have a glitch with the forms or any of those lorry drivers decide to protest.

The reasons it takes so long as most lorrys are carrying multiple consignments and each one needs to be cleared indervidually. This is before actual inspections of the loads. On the Turkey EU border it takes 2 days to get through and they are in FTA and CU.
