Thanks for the ping! We are aware of it.

This where policy is critical in cooperation with tech. A cname record isn’t an issue for a service provider contractually bound to not use the data for any purpose than the publisher itself. CCPA would allow this and I don’t think good browsers (Safari/Firefox) would take issue.

My understanding is that the cookie would be saved under 1st party domain, and can only be accessed from it. So even if the tracking technology is provided by a 3rd party, cross-site tracking would be prevented. What am I missing?

Script included from concealed 3p via 1p eTLD+1 CNAME gets all the 1p data. As noted elsewhere, this is a problem without the CNAME concealment, if 1p embeds rogue 3p.

Yes,
@pes10k &@BraveSampson on it. Fastest move is to support the dns API same as in Firefox (de facto standard not set, diff in callback vs promise but nbd) so uBO and Brave Shields can see thru CNAMEs. Sourcepoint a few years ago tried proxying Google ads as 1p the same way.Hvala. Twitter će to iskoristiti za poboljšanje vaše vremenske crte. PoništiPoništi

The real superheroes, however, should be every person (formerly "user" or "consumer") enhanced by
