I suspect what has happened is that if it’s a video you have used clips in then the BBC may be claiming the ad revenue from the video, and it becomes their choice where the ads go. Just a guess but it’s only thing I can think of.
The video is not claimed by BBC. So the only person who should be able to change ad settings are me and youtube
