I had a few jokes drafted but ultimately what I'm feeling is pride and gratitude for all my teammates over the years with whom I worked on this release. Thank you to everyone.

TVs should turn on instantly. My Internet-addled brain is too impatient to handle a 5 second delay without opening TikTok in the meantime.

Fellow olds (>30): at what age did you notice your cognitive flexibility start to decline? I don’t totally feel it yet but I’m very aware of the fact that it’s probably happening.

Lot of effusive early reviews, but it’s just so hard for me to believe!

Avatar The Way of Water: lol imagine being dumb enough to bet against James Cameron. or teen alien Sigourney Weaver. or giant whales subtitled in papyrus. light years better than the first & easily one of the best theatrical experiences in ages. streaming found dead in a ditch.

I know it’s foolish to bet against James Cameron but the Avatar sequel looks like total snooze fest. Which is the funnier outcome? Because that’s what I’m rooting for

So many excellent details on this website ◆ Image placeholders, lazy loading, optimization ◆ Keyboard support ◆ Carousel sliding updates page scroll upon return 🤯 ◆ Parallel routes with direct URLs (e.g.: `/p/2`) And it's open source of course 🥲 nextjsconf-pics.vercel.app

My favorite ever tech talk is ’s Zero to GraphQL. A masterful pitch. It’s rare that I remember any talk, but five years later I remember this one so vividly. It was one of the moments that made me want to work for Facebook, and with Steve.

Anyone got a summary of the Taylor Swift Ticketmaster thing? Is it more complicated than # of tickets <<< # of people who want tickets

I wish GitHub had an option to run checks on every commit, rather than every push. In lieu of a built-in solution, I have to push once per commit! (What I _really_ want is stacked PRs, but in the meantime...)

I really hate to admit this, but Kari Lake's haircut is similarish enough to Lea Salonga's that whenever I see a picture of Kari there's a brief moment when I think it might be Lea. Then, disappointment. For this reason, and others, I'm glad she lost.

If I were Elon I'd keep it simple and base verification on follower count. More than N active followers? You get a check. Follower counts are already a prestige marker on here. Arguably more than the check. Might as well embrace that. Twitter Blue should be about fewer ads.
