So when can I ride my bike to your house and take what I “need”? Please, can I put a sign up in your yard quoting your tweet?

Do you live in a national chain drugstore? Is that why you think a drugstore and a person's home are the same thing?

Agreed - stealing is fine, when it's from a store, because reasons.

Stealing from an individual and stealing from a national corporation are actually different. You can argue both are bad, but one has much more impact and is far more devastating.

So I can knock you to the ground and leave you bleeding like you wished for this person if I catch you about to jaywalk?

Jaywalking in most cases is not a crime, it's illegal, considered mostly an infraction or misdemeanor. Looting a store is a crime. If you see someone committing a blatant crime, by all means knock them down, if you're capable of knocking people down.
